Alpine Ski Racing D-Team
Alpine Ski Racing Program (D-Team)
The program is open to all skiers interested in ski racing. Skiers participate in both slalom and giant slalom events with other racers.
Our D-Team will continue for the 2021/2022 season, with a few adjustments to keep everyone on the team safe! The key change being races; the size of competitions will be reduced to accommodate physical distancing recommendations. However, you can expect to race at Wild Mountain and other timed races hosted at Powder Ridge. Race dates to be determined.
Please email email@example.com with any questions or concerns!
The Powder Ridge Ski Team has an excellent coaching staff to help students learn to race and to fine tune their skills. All the coaches have training in ski instruction and ski racing. The many staff have years of coaching experience and continue their mission for the pure love of kids and the sport of skiing. There will be assistance and time with coaches to help new racers and their families get started easily.
The D-Team is an excellent way for young skiers and their families to further their skiing abilities along with developing new friendships. Requirements: Racers must have the ability to manage themselves while at Powder Ridge, and at other ski areas we race at, or have parent supervision. With the number of racers and the amount of space involved it is impossible for our coaches to supervise on a one to one basis with each racer. Racers must also be able to ride a chair lift without assistance and cannot hold a current USSA card.
